What the site is
CarrierStat is an unofficial, independent mirror and analysis of public data published by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) on data.transportation.gov, the Unified Carrier Registration Plan, IFTA, Inc., and the Code of Federal Regulations. It is not operated by, affiliated with, or endorsed by any government agency or any of those organizations. The official record is always the source itself; where this site and the source disagree, the source is right.
No warranty and no advice
Everything on this site is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. Government feeds are refreshed on their own schedules, some have been frozen by their publisher, and every page states the snapshot date it reflects; a figure can be superseded the day after it is shown. Nothing here is legal, tax, insurance or compliance advice. Before hiring a carrier, filing a registration, paying a fee or relying on an insurance or authority status, verify it with FMCSA at safer.fmcsa.dot.gov or the relevant agency. CarrierStat is not liable for any loss arising from use of the site.
Acceptable use
You may read, link to and quote the site freely, with attribution to CarrierStat and to the underlying government source. You may not use automated tools to bulk-download the lookup API or the pages, and you may not use anything on this site to build contact or marketing lists: the site deliberately publishes no phone numbers, email addresses, street addresses or officer names, and the FMCSA data behind it is subject to FMCSA's own terms.

The site may show third-party advertising and may include referral links to partner services, each disclosed where it appears. Neither changes the data shown. Our privacy policy describes the cookies advertising may set and how to opt out of personalized ads.
