Carrier authority & insurance lookup
Search any of the 4.4 million carriers in FMCSA's registration census by USDOT number, MC number or company name. Registration and insurance filings come from FMCSA's current (post-Motus) data feeds, refreshed daily — many lookup sites still run on the legacy feeds FMCSA froze on May 14, 2026. Where we do show a figure from those retired feeds, it is labeled with that date.
Data: FMCSA Company Census, Motus insurance filings, SMS safety results and the L&I authority and insurance files, via data.transportation.gov. Each section below cites its own dataset and as-of date. Unofficial — verify at FMCSA SAFER.
